A mentor serves as a trusted friend, coach and role model to the Liberty Ministries’ residents who would benefit from a relationship with another Christian who is not a staff member of Liberty Ministries (LM). The mentor encourages the resident(s) on their journey to spiritual health and wholeness, helping them to not only have a wholesome relationship with another individual but to also see and learn the steps to successful life-style in the community. Although confidentiality is of the highest importance, the residents are aware that the mentor must report any behaviors that could be seriously detrimental to the progress of the resident or a danger to themselves or others. Any volunteer found to be withholding information that is detrimental to the progress of the resident can be expected to lose their status as mentor.
